Dr. Neil Shepard, PhD, is a world renowned audiologist who has published over 75 research articles in the field of balance and dizziness. These efforts have been in the realm of postural control issues in the last 5 years with current projects related to investigating tools that would assist in risk for falls.
He has a long history of working at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Neil Shepard, PhD, has recently retired from the Mayo Clinic (as of July 2017) to live in Missoula, MT to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He continues to teach vestibular courses worldwide, conduct research, and see patients at Element Physical Therapy. He is also teaching vestibular content to physical therapy post graduate students in an Orthopedic residency program at the University of Montana.
Dr. Neil Shepard, PhD, will be working at Element Physical Therapy 2-3 days per week offering consultative services to the complex vestibular patients. He will have a family practice resident in the Fellowship training program from the University of Montana with him during the exam, which will last approximately 2 hours.
